Alchemy was an early form of chemistry that sought to turn plain base metals into gold. We think this applies perfectly to coffee where we seek to turn a rather dull green coffee bean into a delicious aromatic beverage using a combination of art and science. Many of those who practiced alchemy in the past were fixated on the discovery of the elusive "Elixir of Life", a potion, or beverage, that offers eternal youth to the person that drinks it. Coffee will certainly not offer you eternal youth, but the perfect coffee is as alluring, illusive and mysterious as the Elixir of life was to the Alchemist.
At Alchemy we use a bit of science, a bit of art, and a lot of careful attention to produce the very best coffee we can. That is why we choose some of the best single estate, ethically sourced, and traceable coffees available. We then use the best equipment to roast and brew our coffees to ensure that we make the most of what the bean can offer.
